Well, you know the holidays have come and gone when your cords are noticeably tight (read: gasping for breath). I knew I shouldn't have caved to sporting fleece stretchies every other day for two weeks. Resigning myself to a deprivation meal plan for the next couple of weeks so I don't feel like I need an inhaler to wear pants.
This outfit was inspired by my friend from Savannah, Aubrey, who instagrammed this same sweater paired with a lovely golden pencil skirt today. As I was in a rush to get out of the house for a playdate with Baby Warrior, she saved me time today since I basically decided to shamelessly take inspiration from her. No jewelry since we had a playdate, but I think the outfit had a lot going on anyway.
I tried a new location for photos, and I think it's a bit better, no?
Thursdays seem so blah to start a post-Christmas diet, so of course I met a friend for lunch at a cheap and greasy buffet for lunch. I can maintain the food pudge til Monday and pretend it's still fa la la la la.
Have you taken inspiration from other bloggers lately? I'd love to know who you'd recommend for easy, fun casual looks. No layering of 5 shirts, please...see reasons noted above.

ReplyDeleteum ya. i am in the same boat with the "overeating during the holidays" blues. i can only say a shirt and an oversized sweater with leggings until the workout and dieting kicks in!! lol.

ReplyDeleteI can SO relate! I spent a day with the fam in SF Chinatown NYE and ate my weight in Chinese (carb-alicious) goodies. I am STILL trying to rid the bulge from that day.
Re: clearance sales - last year, JC had 40% off sale items in store and also had those Lady Day Coats for $50 (maybe that was in Dec?) - wait it out and see what you can find!
That's what I'm hoping for at J Crew! I try to never buy coats unless they're rock bottom at Crew. I'll have some birthday cash, so I'm trying to make a list now so I don't give in impulse buys.
