Mother Nature never seems to care if you have 2,389 errands to run, and it was a cheerful 3 degrees this morning with snow on the ground. Since I've spent the last few days as a shivering shut-in, all of my errands had to be run today. I opted for my Sorels instead of Hunters to keep my toes toasty, although a nice old man at the grocery store did inquire where up in the mountains did I live after peeking at my furry boots. This was shortly before I knocked over an entire display of bottled sage and vanilla with my cart. So much for being inconspicuous at the store, although I credit that more to my boots with da fur than 345 bottles of herbs flailing about on the floor.

I may or may not have a birthday this week, so my parents & lil sis are flying in tomorrow for a long stay, which I have been looking forward for some time. Husband returns on Friday, so birthday celebrations will be postponed til the weekend. Does this mean my new age can be delayed too? Wishful thinking. I give it five days before I digress into a 16 year old version of myself, and my mom starts telling me to pick up my room and go fold some laundry. I may be optimistic about the five day estimation.
